Based on János Pilinszky’s poetry the performance engages with contemporary mankind’s spiritual and intellectual homelessness, the eternal tension inherent within the beauty and the inescapable downfall of creation, and the terrifying hopelessness of our era.

The basic tenets of Pilinszky’s elegiac poesis, such as loneliness, the act of taking account, the alienation of men, demise and surrender, self-investigation and self-search, salvation, hope and mercy, but first and foremost the religiously grounded experiences of homelessness and homecoming uphold the dramatic arch of the performance. The performance does not narrate a story, rather it explores those emotions which contemporary men wittingly or unwittingly harbor in their souls. The creators of the piece aimed at bringing all accompanying art forms on stage with a special emphasis on the organic relationship and mutual influence of music, spectacle and movement.
